Folded Fusion

16/10/2025 - 29/11/2025

Location :
Le Point G by Galerie Gosserez, 16 rue de Montmorency, 75003 PARIS

The Galerie Gosserez presents Claisse Architectures & Annie Delvenne, Belgian designers recently welcomed into the Parisian gallery, through a collaborative exhibition. There, they unveil “Folded Fusion”, a collection of unique seating pieces that combine contemporary aesthetics with narrative power, where each creation invites both a visual and sensual experience.

“Folded Fusion” is composed of seats and tables that tell a story—that of exceptional, forgotten fabrics, pleated by hand and set in dialogue with bespoke chiseling on aluminum to form unique works at the crossroads of art and design.

At the origin of the project lies a simple truth: the textile and luxury furniture industries generate precious resources destined for waste. Why not give them a second life? Transformed into durable, functional, and refined objects, these fabrics become marvelous pieces. Originating from Haute Couture houses such as Dries Van Noten, Natan, or Jean-Paul Gaultier, as well as from prestigious French editors like Lelièvre, the textiles are metamorphosed by Annie Delvenne through sophisticated, entirely hand-executed pleating techniques.

The structures, shaped in folded aluminum in a Belgian workshop, are patiently chiseled by Annie Delvenne and Amandine Mangenot. Their artisanal gesture extends the work of the textile, endowing each piece with a precious singularity.

“Folded fusion”, daring folds. From afar, seats made of fabric and metal. Up close, stools or tables—ever-changing, shimmering. They catch the eye, offering the brilliance and craftsmanship of aluminum alongside the iridescent reflections of exceptional pleated fabrics. Designed with utmost precision, they combine the nobility of materials with artisanal savoir-faire.

In this exhibition, the new creations of Claisse Architectures & Annie Delvenne engage in dialogue with the gallery’s emblematic design pieces by Valentin Loellmann, Lukas Cober, Pierre Lapeyronnie, Middernacht & Alexander, Sébastien Coudert-Maugendre, Shannon CleggGrégoire de Lafforest and Céline Salomon, inhabiting the Rue de Montmorency space. An encounter that summons tradition and modernity in a singular interplay of materials. Aluminum converses with fiberglass and resin, while copper and fire-charred oak sit alongside marble or leather. Lines emerge, curves intensify, textures reveal themselves, casting an atmosphere of uncanny beauty.

The scenography, conceived by Johanna Colombatti, brings together guest talents such as visual artist Lia Rochas, ceramics editor Volume, and rug editor Toulemonde Bochart. The gallery’s design pieces coexist with collages of surrealist resonance and ceramics with spectacular glazes—in earthy muted tones or, conversely, in almost unreal pastels.
