Through this issue of Elle Décoration published in May 2014, Emmanuelle Javelle paints the portrait of Valentin Loellmann on the occasion of his solo show organized by Galerie Gosserez in Basel.
“My imagination is my strength. My father Uwe, who is a ceramist, taught me that it can bloom in the material,” explains the designer. Fascinated by the influence of the environment on spirit, he absorbs the atmospheres, captures the moments of life. He gives life to his pieces, that share some common traits but differ in their individuality as family members.
