A « Mini Nida » as a royal gift

Bordeaux City Hall honors the state visit of King Charles III and Queen Camilla with Vincent Poujardieu's "Mini Nida" lamp.

Galerie Gosserez was honored to play an indirect part in King Charles III's state visit to France.

Indeed, on the occasion of the much-anticipated visit of the King and Queen of England, the Bordeaux Town Hall chose the magnificent "Mini Nida" lamp, a piece created by the talented designer Vincent Poujardieu, as a present for the royal couple.

This symbolic choice is in perfect keeping with the Bordeaux Town Hall's ecological vision, in harmony with the environmental convictions of King Charles III and the Queen of England. The "Mini Nida" lamp embodies the spirit of sustainability and innovation, highlighting local know-how.

The "Mini Nida" lamp is a unique piece marked by its bee-inspired design and meticulous production process. It is made of aluminum honeycomb, a material prized for its lightness and resilience commonly used in the space and aeronautics industries. This aluminum-slice structure has been manufactured for over 40 years by a company based in Anglet, France. Designer Vincent Poujardieu, renowned for his creativity, transformed this material by hand-cutting each slice before coating it with 24-carat fine gold.

This exceptional piece is a testament to French excellence in technology, craftsmanship, and respect for the environment. Furthermore, Buckingham Palace has its beehives, underlining the precious link between the British monarchs and bees.

Galerie Gosserez is very proud of this royal gift!
